Resourcing Rural Organizing Infrastructure: Funder Self-Assessment

Farmworker Albany Day 2018, Farmworkers and allies demonstrating in Albany.

In partnership with the Neighborhood Funders Group’s Integrated Rural Strategies Group, we created a funder self-assessment tool that enables foundations to evaluate their own grantmaking and provides best practices for moving resources to rural communities across the state. This toolkit was created based on the landscape scan titled, Resourcing Rural Organizing Infrastructure: A New York Case Study.

To download and use the toolkit to promote your rural grantmaking strategy, download this document.

In 2023, are preparing to launch a New York State portfolio to help funders find organizations leading organizing movements in rural communities across the State.
